Why Handwork?
I think that Handwork must be as old as hands!
As long as we have been here, we have used our hands to change our world. Creating objects of usefulness and beauty not only helps our life in a practical sense, but the very act of imagining, and then making what we imagined, nourishes the psyche and the heart.
All the practical arts bring a much needed respite from the fast pace of modern life. They foster connections with one another and with the world around us. They educate the hands, the heart, and all our senses! Handwork empowers artists of all ages, and brings a simple, warmth-filled kind of joy into our lives.
I hope these little handwork adventures will open the door for us to share many new and joyful experiences together!
