Why Earth Pigments?
Most people walk on dirt, though not so many are fascinated by the colors in it. But right there, below our feet, lies a world of color just waiting to be explored! Making paint out of rocks and water is easy, simple, and it is one of our oldest known art forms. As long as 80,000 years ago, people ground rocks, and made them into beautiful, long lasting paintings. And just like the plants, with their individual color stories, each rock also has a unique story to tell!
