Earth pigments on spring eggs? Why not? This is fun, and couldn't be simpler.
Earth pigments are made by finding natural ochers and grinding them to a fine powder. See some of my past blogs for more information on this.
Using one of those cool little egg pumps, you drill one hole in a raw egg, and pump out the white and yolk. Save this!
Mix the egg with a little water, and you have a perfect binder for earth pigments!
Mix this binder with a little powdered pigment and it makes a beautiful medium for painting eggs!
If you like the idea, but don't have powdered pigments on hand, they are available in a wide range of beautiful colors from Earth Pigments on line.
